Christmas 2018
Christmas 2018 promises, as always, to be a wonderful time at both The Bridge and The Turtley Corn Mill! With our infamous decorations, fires roaring and full festive menu, it has got to be one of our favourite times of year.
Our Christmas menu below is for groups of 10 people or more, although we can also offer it for smaller groups on request. It will be available at both The Bridge, with its’ gorgeous views over the Marina and The Turtley Corn Mill. The menu will be available from November 26th 2018 until December 24th 2018 and we will ask for your meals to be pre-ordered at least 10 days in advance (don’t worry, we have a spreadsheet which you can download from here to make life that little bit easier for the organiser!).
Our full menu will also be available as normal during this time for other customers.
Starters
A trio of fish - prawns, smoked salmon and salmon pate with horseradish cream
Pressed ham terrine & spiced apple compote
A tomato stuffed with feta cheese & rice then topped with a virgin mary sorbet
* please note we have changed the sorbet from red pepper to virgin mary as it simply tasted better!
Local goats cheese, pear and candied pecan salad
Cured meat and pickles with crusty bread
Main Courses
Free range turkey breast, “pig in a blanket” and roast potatoes
Seafood stew - i.e. salmon, cod, prawns & scallops with skinny fries
Braised beef with creamed potatoes and a robust red wine gravy
Baked cod fillet with a rich bourguignon sauce on a spinach pasta
Turkey burger topped with a spicy chipotle relish, fries and salsa
Vegetable and lentil cottage pie topped with sweet potato mash
The table will have bowls of steaming mixed vegetables to share
Desserts
Merlot poached pear with Cowlick cinnamon ice cream and almond croquants
Marbled chocolate cheesecake - white, dark and milk cheesecake on a biscuit crumb
A zingy lemon tart with Cowlick orange sorbet
Our well matured individual Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
Yoghurt and ginger cream with blow torched satsumas
